News & updates: May 2004

May 29, 2004

Website updates: I am continuing to catch up on major updates to the website, including uploading a number of recent (2004) and older (1991, 1995) interviews to the articles page. The on stage section has been updated with information on "The Goat" and I will be adding reviews and other articles about the play as I find them. Soon I will be launching a dedicated Smallville section of the site as well with lots of photos, episode information, and whatever else I can compile (contributions most welcome!)

I'm also working on some "behind the scenes" reorganization of the webpage itself to help ease maintenance of the site. This may result in the occasional error messages and missing files while I move things around, so please be patient if you notice any weirdness in the next few days.

Long, long time no update!

And yes, that is entirely my fault for which I deeply apologize. It seems an easy and often excuse but "real life"--or perhaps I should say my "professional life"--over the past two years has been rather difficult and limited my time for keeping up with my on-line projects. But that's going to change over the course of this summer as I hope to have some wonderful and exciting new content to share on this site. So stay tuned!

Now that Smallville is on break for the summer, John is currently in the Philadelphia Theater Company's production of Edward Albee's "The Goat or, Who is Sylvia?". Tonight is opening night and the play runs through June 20 at The Plays and Player Theater.

Last night I was fortunate enough to attend one of the preview performances and to spend several minutes talking with John afterwards. The most exciting news for yours truly is that we spoke of & agreed to upgrade this page from unofficial to official status! John has some content he'd love to share with his fans on-line, so hopefully I will be able to provide a venue for them in the days to come, and overall be able to expand the content and timeliness of the site. So check back for more details soon!

Two photos from the night, taken by my friend Beverly who also attended the performance:

If you have the chance to make it to Philadelphia next month to see the play, I strongly recommend it! More news, reviews, and information about the production to follow in coming days.
